Trooper T.J. McGraw assumes foxy green-eyed Fitness Trainer Lanie Delacor is just another victim in a multi-car pileup during a raging blizzard. her claim that someone followed her from a roadside rest stop and forced her from the road falls on skeptical ears, until the next day when Pennsylvania State Police discover two dead bodies at that rest stop, and T.J. discovers protecting Lanie could turn into more than a job assignment.

Hard core drug dealer Jack LeFavor didn't count on a witness, and Lanie's arrival at the rest stop interrupted his well-laid plan. She's the only person who can place Jack at the murder scene and when evidence ties him to the victims, state police ratchet up the investigation in order to snag LeFavor and keep Lanie from becoming his third victim.
