Hope Alive

I spent most of my life thinking dirt bikes and racing defined me. They were my greatest passions, and the best part of life. Then it was all taken away. When I left my parent’s house the day before my twentieth birthday in June 2005, I thought I was just going out with a friend to have fun and escape the troubles at home. Little did I know our troubles were just beginning, as disaster struck the next morning in the form of a massive hemorrhaged brain aneurysm. I arrived at the hospital in a Level 3 coma and would stay for a four-and-a-half-month recovery, but my real struggles began when I left the hospital, and would go on for years. Join me on a journey of unending disasters, heart-wrenching betrayal, and emotional self-discovery, as I re-learn who I really am, and what was really important all along.
