When Evil Governs

Dark, drug-fueled political corruption blooms during the housing bubble. Undercover DEA agent Jimmy Bancroft, his mission: locate the mountain drug sources, his personal mission: find Bonnie's killers. A drug cartel murdered her after he placed her in a safe house. Evil cartel tentacles know no limit; someone at DEA headquarters leaked Bonnie's safe house location.

Alone without love, her ghost protects him from relationships; brushing her ghost aside, Jimmy's agony returns. Angering the cartel, a tentacle discovers his true identity; they want him dead and Bonnie's ghost can't protect him from the cartel. Jimmy must survive cartel hit-men, bogus Metro Police murder warrants, and a helicopter dog-fight, in a county where the sheriff's department obeys every cartel whim.
