Gerty Green, the Martian Bean

A town of beans, named Crockville, sprouted up beside a hill. One day, in rolled Gerty Green claiming that she was a bean. The Town beans said, "You're not Kin... you must be an alien." There was a to-do that day, when Gerty Green planned to stay. The sheriff did not take sides. He said, "Let the facts decide."
