handy reference for legal historians. Edward Foss [1787-1870], an

English jurist, was a founder and later president of the Incorporated

Law Society. His publications include The Grandeur of the Law (1842),

Tabulae Curiales: Or Tables of the Superior Courts of Westminster Hall

(1865) and Memories of Westminster Hall (1874).
