Hearing Past the Pain: Why White Catholic Theologians Need Black Theology

Demonstrates that white Catholic theologians have largely ignored racism in the United States, as well as the African-American (black) theologies that grapple with this racism. It argues that their identity and integrity as Catholic theologians demand their serious engagement with both.
