Thinking the Contemporary Landscape compiles essays by an international roster of eminent landscape architects, art historians, philosophers, and social scientists tackling current issues in landscape discourse. Drawing from the arts, sciences, history, mythology, languages, and politics, this volume reflects on present and future challenges; presents diverse approaches to territory, environment, visualization, and design; and considers how the culturally constructed, architecturally formed notion of landscape can be reframed, composed, and rethought.
