A Piece of My (sic) Mind: Passing Thoughts and Drive-by Harangues

Call them aphorisms, epigrams, saws, brief thoughts, or brainfarts. Marcus Aurelius, Blaise Pascal, Oscar Wilde, and H. L. Mencken did them. Also Oscar Wilde, Groucho Marx, and that greatest of crackpots, Friedrich Nietzsche. They are the hit-and-run drivers of literature. They are philosophy's cheap shots, contradictory and undependable. They come in strictly random order here, which (sic) thoughts always do. There ought to be something here that will truly offend you and cause you to think, and maybe imagine a stinging rebuke. If that is so, my job is done.
