Book one in a series of four about U.S. Horse Cavalry Captain, Fred Roessler during WWII. Circa 1943--the Army calls it quits to using the horse or any animal for battle. This disrupts the order of things for the Cavalry soldiers, sending them off to separate assignments around the world. Fred's assignment as a 'General's Aid' turns into a whole new life for him on Oahu, as he covertly chases down spies radioing coded information to the passing enemy submarines. Fred and his trusty steed, 'Danny Boy', search together for the enemies base(s) of operation on this six hundred square mile Hawaiian island. Both the Army and Navy join forces to eradicate these spies.
