Ever since the incident Rory Joyce’s family knows as “It”, life has been a bit skewed. There’s all that business about adding letters in math class, plus her new habit of having mysterious seizure-slash-visions (usually in public for maximum humiliation potential). All that's missing are some private visits from beings who claim to be sent from Elsewhere. It’s just a sampling from the buffet of the bizarre that Rory’s life has suddenly become—as if junior high weren’t weird enough.
Rory is about to get her first glimpse into a strange new world—beyond family loss, public school fiascos, homeschooling neighbors and those suspiciously nice kids from the youth group—and discover that the real battles are the ones you don't even see.
