The Blue Wake

Martin Werner is still devastated by his unintentional killing of a little Vietnamese girl while escaping capture by the Viet Cong six years ago. He reunites with his girlfriend, Ann Sherwood, aboard his sloop named Wren. Ann, who has recently returned to the States, was severely brutalized and robbed by a group of drug-dealing hoodlums during her final year at a university in England. All Ann and Martin want to do is enjoy a summer of freedom sailing along the New England shoreline. Outside influences have other ideas. Someone has implanted a transmitter in Ann's head and injected her with DNA matter. The intent is to make her capable of altering her age, size, gender, and race.
