The Movement: Insurgency

The War of Liberation is over. But the victor is finding that war is easy, it's the peace that's hard. The very fabric of America had been ripped in two, and putting those pieces back together again will prove a worthy task. The Author has taken residence in Washington. He leads an interim government that is leading the change and reconciliation. Like David, The Author is ready to pass the torch to the leader who will bring a period of peace, not war.

But, in the wilds of Appalachia, the Old Guard is stirring. Bloodied but not beaten, they bide their time and wait. Now, they find an inspirational leader of their own, a familiar face from the past, to pull together their ranks and continue the war that everyone thought was over. Just as the old wounds have healed, they are ripped open again.

Even as the struggle ensues, factions within each side plan not for victory, but for total annihilation. Both sides push for absolute victory; but at what cost. Once again, the future of a nation will be decided in the streets of Washington, DC.
