On 9/11, Diane Fay Skomars was in her photography studio on Seventh Avenue in Manhattan. Uncertain of her fate and that of the city itself, she concluded a tearful call to her daughter Monette with the question: "Have I taught you everything I know?"
During 2003, Diane answered that question by writing a daily journal of advice, questions and life lessons to her daughter Monette. Ten years later, she decided to turn that journal into this book.
