Whether meeting survivors of a deadly fertilizer plant explosion in Texas of victims of Hurricane Sandy, these speciaily trained dogs help relieve people's stress, and they provide peace and comfort. Run by the Lutheran Church Charities, the K-9 Comfort Dog program is truly an example of the amazing ways a furry friend can bring happiness-or even just a smile-to people when they need it most.
