My Larger Education

Booker T. Washington was an African-American educator and author who was considered the most influential figure in the African-American community in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Washington, who was born into slavery, promoted peaceful protest. Washington wrote extensively on his life and education in a book called My Larger Education.
