The Ugala Tapestry

A black community college history professor returns from a two-month study tour of West Africa with a priceless work of art and debilitating nightmares. But the nightmares are only the beginning of his troubles. He soon finds himself involved with an unprincipled psychiatrist, an ill-advised love affair, and embroiled in a global conflict between newly independent third world countries and a ruthless corporation with unlimited financial and military resources intent on using its power to gain exclusive control of an exotic plant that could cure the world of AIDS.
