A Journey of Faith: Christ Episcopal Church: 150 Years Tyler, Texas 1867-2017

Throughout its history, Christ Church has provided leadership to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of the community. As an outreach to North and South Tyler, St. John's was established as a mission in 1892 and St. Andrews, now St. Francis, in 1956. Christ Church was a founding member of PATH, All Saints Episcopal School and Hospice of East Texas.

Our youth ministries have always been a primary focus. Because Christ Church is a welcoming community and encourages its members to share their gifts, talents and abilities with the multitude of guilds, Bible studies, and spiritual enrichment groups, we continue to outgrow our facilities.

Most recently, Christ Church expanded with a new worship center and outdoor activities area on a 27-acre south campus on Old Jacksonville Highway to meet the needs of our growing membership. The worship center was completed in December 2016.
