Having a sports journal will help an athlete improve in every area of their sport. Every athlete gets discouraged from time to time and a sports journal will help keep an athlete on track and seeing the progress that has already been made. Writing down where you are with respect to a certain skill or ability will help you remember to improve that skill and will help you remember what little tricks and trades work for you to improve and progress.
