Mark Ludwig earned his Ph.D. in political science and researched politics and mass media at Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Ludwig is a professor of journalism and communication studies at California State University, Sacramento. Prior to his career in academia, he worked as a journalist, writing and editing for the San Jose Mercury News, the Los Angeles Times, and the San Francisco Chronicle. Dr. Ludwig’s writing has appeared in Quill and Newspaper Research Journal, and he has presented regionally and nationally on issues related to politics and the media."
