The Scarlet Pimpernel

THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL is a romantic adventure set during the French Revolution and the ensuing Reign of Terror.

Inspired by a clandestine leader, a small band of titled Englishmen helps innocent victims escape. The hero, a man of many disguises, not only defies but taunts the French authorities: he leaves a blood red flower, a scarlet pimpernel, at the scene of each of his rescues.
