These ramblings of Patricia Melugin Caulkins Cousins draw on collective and personal family memories with emphasis on those of the Roper and Melugin families, who came to live on Roeding Road where the Whittier/Caulkins thrived before them. The marriage of John B. Melugin and Alice Dora Caulkins produced sisters Janet, Martha, Stella, and the author Patricia. This is her perspective on coming home to Smyrna Park, an Eden east of Ceres, California. Every word is true, but the sentences and paragraphs may include fabrications.
