Together Tummy is a book about diastasis recti (separation of the outermost abdominal muscles)—a condition that has been ignored by the medical community. A condition that people don’t even know they have because they have never even been checked for it. So they go from doctor to doctor to find out what is wrong with their bellies. Many times they go to a doctor to get treated for the side effects of this condition which show up as back pain, pelvic floor, and GI problems. When being treated for these problems, a diastasis recti is not even considered in their medical evaluation. Diastasis recti can also put a pregnant woman at risk for a C-section. When people are diagnosed with a diastasis, they are either told to have surgery, live with it, or do crunches. Crunches actually can create a diastasis or make it worse! So the purpose of this book is to bring diastasis awareness to medical professionals and the general population as well.
The solution for closing a diastasis is the Tupler Technique:registered:. This research and evidenced based 4-step program closes a diastasis no matter when or how a diastasis was created. This 8 chapter book is easy and fun reading and gives readers an understanding of:
• What a diastasis is and the different causes of it in women, men, and children.
• How to check yourself for a diastasis.
• How to do the Tupler Technique:registered: Program which progresses over 18 weeks.
• How to modify your exercise program.
• How to incorporate the Tupler Technique:registered: in your workout so it is “diastasis safe.”
Exercising incorrectly can reopen your diastasis. The book also talks about the role of nutrition in healing connective tissue, and how to prepare for labor and abdominal surgery with the Tupler Technique:registered:. The book ends with success stories from our clients. When you are finished reading this book you will understand why I believe Everybelly:registered: should be checked for a diastasis and treated with the Tupler Technique:registered:.
