The Arrangement

After a disastrous week at work, Adam decides to take a spontaneous trip to Medellín, Colombia. He arrives to find himself thoroughly impressed with its unique culture and genuinely, friendly people. One evening, while exploring the city, Adam meets Sara, a local college student at the Universidad de Medellín. A whirlwind romance ensues and Adam asks Sara to come to the United States as his wife. Unfortunately, the honeymoon is short-lived when the economy takes a terrible turn and Adam loses his job. The debts begin to rack up quickly and just before they lose everything, Sara has come up with a brilliant idea. She suggests that they get a divorce and that Adam returns to Colombia to arrange a fiancé visa for Ariana, a close friend who wants a better way of life. Ariana's father, Jorge, has set aside some savings and would be more than willing to pay Sara and Adam for The Arrangement. He offers them $30,000, but while Sara willingly agrees, Adam and Ariana are both skeptical and uncertain. After many initial concerns and arguments, everyone accepts The Arrangement and a step-by-step plan is carefully developed. With such a solid and cleverly thought out plan, what could possibly go wrong?
