An independent settling expedition departs from Terra with the aim of beginning a profitable mining venture and colony on the remote planet of Hades C-6. Yet when the elite hierarchal system of government falters and corruption runs rampant, civil war begins to threaten as competing factions rise to overthrow the abusive status quo. As the competing factions struggle for dominance and survival, they are also united in their fear of the xeno, of the alien.



Little is known of the alien settlement on Hades C-6 but the colonists strive to maintain outward appearance of strength despite their seething divisions. Yet internal chaos threatens as civil war looms and the colonists are compelled to choose sides, all as the colony tumbles towards an uncertain future.



Plans are drawn and weapons readied for the coming storm. For the fighting leaders of the colony, the coming war is one of ideology and purpose but for the average colonist it is simply one of survival.
