William Wymark Jacobs, was an English author of short stories and novels. Although much of his work was humorous, he is most famous for his horror story The Monkey's Paw. This book contains the hilarious tale of the complications and embarrassments pursuing the captain of a small English coasting vessel in his simultaneous love affairs.
