The Wedding Feast

Hospitality is, "the space in which change is possible." So says Russ Parker in the foreword of this reflective book. This revealing set of meditations looks at how the serious scholar or the ordinary seeker after truth may encounter Jesus through the record of the meals He shared and the people He fed, and the emphasis He gave to the hospitality which all receive and give. Each Biblical reference used helps the reader to understand the spiritual hunger of those who would follow Jesus, as well as the re-issuing of the invitation to share His hospitality and then pass it on to others. The questions and reflections at the end of each chapter enable a digestion of the content and so prefigure the celebration of the Wedding Feast, where all shall be welcome and all shall be fed.
