Two FCAs (Fellow Chartered Accountants) is an autobiography, telling the story of the author and his brother Brian. Originally started as a tribute to the life of his late brother and intended to be enlightening for his nephews and niece who had lost their father.

It tells the story of growing up in wartime London with the fear of bombing raids and the subsequent evacuation to Wales where the two young brothers spent the next four years.

After returning to London, John describes grammar school education and the immense hard work and commitment required that enabled two unexceptional working class boys to enter the profession of accountancy after serving National Service in the RAF. Including anecdotes and reminiscences of the brothers' shared hobby of cycling and of John's passions of boating and skiing.
