The Vips

This is a gripping tale of lust and love, treachery and intrigue, jealousy and despair...and that is only the cats! A picturesque Sussex village is threatened by the Heathcliffe-on-Sea bypass. The villagers form the Village Preservation Society, to fight the proposals. Support comes from the village Rugby Club and their suprise sponsor, Anastasia Toogood, a writer of romantic fiction who will sponsor the club if they wear her favourite colour - pink. Annie, whose ancestor was a witch, sleeps with her cat, Thomas, while his sisters look after the animals and do the cooking. The by-pass plans are foiled by the discovery of an important roman villa and temple just on the route.
