Fear the Reaper introduces the world to Jack P. Chill. A new breed of private detective, a rubbish one. Funded from a £40 a week enterprise allowance scheme and looking like an extra from a 1950s film noir, he careers from one case to another, leaving a trail of devastation behind him. However, a meeting with Yasmin L. Bolt, the daughter of a millionaire scrap metal dealer, might just change all of that. Or put Jack P. Chill at the mercy of a serial killer.
