Blockade Runners

The American Civil War has broken out and British citizen, William Watson, a mariner and engineer in Louisiana, becomes a volunteer in the local militia.

This is his journey as a blockade runner, taking cotton to Havana and bringing back arms and luxury goods. Daniel, a slave who has been freed, joins Watson on his boat, Rob Roy, and they free Daniel's mother, Marie, and her maid, Charlotte.

Along with braving bandits, charging pigs and difficult sailing conditions, Daniel falls in love with the woman he believes is his mother.
