Irene: Relationships Redefined

A woman, very distraught over an on again / off again affair with a married man goes to visit an elderly friend to lament her situation. This friend (a 98 year old woman) has no patience with conventional relationships and unabashedly suggests a radical and very different approach.

The distraught woman listens attentively, more out of respect for her elderly friend than an actual acceptance of this very different view. But her old friend wins the day eventually with a very convincing presentation.

A dialogue takes place over a period of days and we are left to ponder a completely different concept about the meaning of relationships.
