A Case in Question: Love and Law

Elaine Slater has just left her abusive chief justice husband of many years. She obtains a position with barrister Henry Flannagan who is opening a new practice after being disbarred. There is immediate chemistry, later consumated. Henry takes a client, abused in prison. The client is later killed - wife becomes the plaintiff. The trial and a plot to kill Henry. Elaine becomes pregnant, her greatest wish in life. Leaves Henry after an off-hand remark. He is devastated as he desperately loves her. How can they resume their lives and raise their child togather?
