Poetry From My Two Countries

In this, his first poetry book, Ranjit Jhuboo shares a selection of poems which reflect his thoughts about two countries with which he is inextricably linked: England, his adopted country, and his native Mauritius. These countries provide inspiration for poems such as Signal Mountain, Princess Diana, the Lifeboat and The Robin.

The book is a compilation of poems, shaped verses and sonnets and also explores open and closed form poems, such as the Villanelle, the Sestina, Pantoum and the Triolet, which he hopes will be of interest to the reader.
