Possessed by a Shadow centres around Danielle, who lives in the Deep South of America. As a child and following the death of her Uncle Adam, Danielle comes across a mysterious book with the words: "Having formed the elemental doll from loam and bombus wax, hold it in thy cupped hands and call its name aloud, then visualize your wish fulfilled and command the elemental to obey. "Danielle discovers that the dolls is called Zatael and calls its name. Little does she know the destruction that will befall her and those around her once the ‘shadow-man’ is let loose. . .
