Clouds Beneath The Storm

Desperate to return home while avoiding the invading German Army a young soldier witnesses atrocities he vows to avenge. This is a story of his struggles and determination to keep his family safe, help the resistance, overcome his grandmother's belligerence and the local Mayor's antagonism.
With the establishment of a small German Garrison and a particularly acrimonious Commandant, everyday life in the village becomes a nightmare. His grandmother demands he and his friends kill the man who murdered her ailing husband, a veteran of the first war.
Life becomes a balancing act between family and revenge. His only solace was finding unexpected love, forbidden love.
