Recent research into cranial morphology has produced a new approach which creates a pictorial representation of cranial size and shape - 'geometric morphometrics'. The aim of this project is to study the differences in size and shape among Pleistocene hominids from Europe, the Near East and Africa in an attempt to trace the origin and dispersal of the modern cranial form. Text in French, with short English summary.
