Spiritual Education: Literary, Empirical and Pedagogical Approaches

Selected from the July 2002 conference Children's and Young People's Spirituality in Winchester, England, 16 papers continue the development of spiritual education as an academic field. Scholars of education, religion, and psychology consider such aspects as children's responses to books about spiritual matters, calligraphy as a paradigmatic case of the Chinese approach to learning, encountering tradition in a postmodern context, and faith education of children in the context of adult migration and conversion.
