On Gender and Love: Inter-Disciplinary Explorations

This volume presents an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and perspectives, with the aim of understanding the interaction and the interconnection between the concepts of love and gender; and understanding whether, when, how, and in what ways the two concepts conceive, shape, and affect one another. The idea is to examine the ways in which gender and love construct each other, as regards and within all other institutions such as family, religion, education and the media; how gender and love are connected to and construct one another in and through philosophy, the arts, media representations and the community. This volume will be of interest to those who work in the fields of philosophy, sociology, education, media studies, family studies and inter-personal communication.
