Along The Way: A Poetry Collection

Along the Way is an assorted collection of sixty-six, gently rhyming poems. Each one contributes to subjects as diverse as the seasons, nature, childhood memories and love.
Sadness and longing for a love long lost in 'Memories' mingle with a sense of melancholy in 'Autumn' and 'November' and then uplifting hope in 'The Message' and 'April'.
Faith is a recurring theme in 'Silent Friend', 'Another Day' and 'The Promise'. Furry as well as feathered friends are lovingly portrayed in 'Secret Friend', 'Blue Tit', 'The Seagull' and 'Katie'. In 'Everlasting', 'Goodbye' and 'Faith', the author ponders over life after death as well as gives thanks for a life well lived. 'Teddy' tells of many a child's best friend.
A homage to the humble wheelbarrow continues the gardening theme in 'Just a Glimpse'.
