When asked if he'd ever considered an Iron-distance triathlon, Phil really ought to have replied; "No".

He could barely swim... he was a mediocre cyclist, at best... and he was medically advised not to run having, previously, faced the very real possibility of never even walking again.

But, for whatever reason, he replied; "not yet" and, in so doing, planted the seed of an idea in his mind which just wouldn't go away.
