Candlelight is the introductory story of the detectives of the NYPD's New York Bronx fictional Precinct 54.

The New York Bronx is experiencing extreme weather and a large proportion of the law enforcers are off sick with the flu. This first book introduces Captain Bradford Lawrence, Detective Jemma Kingston and Detective Franklyn Bartholomew.
