Beast of Ephesus

In the brutal Roman Empire, Aysel, a young Ephesian slave girl, escapes attack by a gang of young free men. Her punishment is to become an offering to Artemis and a prize for the wining gladiator in the Ephesus arena.

While Aysel studies the contestants in growing terror, her fellow slave, old Naasir, teaches her to hope. He follows a single God, a dangerous new belief which may end in his death.

Should Aysel value every life, or will her first kill change her heart?
