EC Banking Law

This book describes all aspects of the application of Community law to the banking sector. The section on Freedom of Establishment and Freedom to Provide Services has been expanded to take full account of the Second EC Banking Directive. The material on the supervision of Credit Institutions has been revised and now forms a new chapter which includes discussion of the Bank Accounts Directive and the new capital adequacy regime under which banks will operate as a consequence of the implementation of the Own Funds Directive and the Solvency Ratio Directive. The book's discussion of the EC Rules on competition now clearly defines their specific impact on banking operations.
