Everyone's Future: Lessons from Fifty Years of Scottish Comprehensive Schooling

Comprehensive education began in the UK 50 years ago and, unlike in England, still commands widespread support in Scotland. This account of the Scottish system’s development, compared with elsewhere in the UK, shows how Scotland has benefited from an inclusive system of schooling and offers lessons for the future of education.
