The Ukrainian Challenge

Ukraine currently faces a combination of massive economic decline, hyperinflation and growing open as well as hidden unemployment. Its current preoccupation must be to give very high priority to the substantial reform of labour market and social policy. This book is an attempt to assess the trends in social and labour market policy in Ukraine and to help to identify those areas calling for restructuring and reform.
