Children Caring for Parents with Mental Illness: Perspectives of Young Carers, Parents and Professionals

Aldridge and Becker, both of the Center for Child and Family Research at Loughborough University, England, draw on interviews with 40 families to present perspectives of parents with mental illness, pre- teen and teen children caring for them, and professionals in contact with these families. The book reviews existing medical, social, and child protection literature, provides a guide to relevant law in the UK, and makes policy recommendations. The book is distributed by ISBS.
