STATE BEOSI AND THRONE CANOPIES: CARE AND CONSERVAT

This is the first work which has concentrated solely on state beds and throne canopies in England, with information not only on their historical and stylistic development and the role that they played in the theatre of courtly ritual, but, importantly, on the surviving objects themselves and how they are cared for.
