Campaign of 1848 in Lombardy

Continuing Helion's popular series of pamphlets dealing with the European campaigns of the mid-19th Century, The Campaign of 1848 in Lombardy is a reprint of a series of articles of that name appearing in the United Service Magazine during 1859.

The account describes the outbreak of the revolution in Italy, and the sequence of events thereafter, dominated by Radetzky's brilliant success in Lombardy. The strategy of the campaign is clearly described, as are such major battles as those of Santa Lucia, Somma Campagna and Custozza. Due to the paucity of material available on the military events of 1848-49, TBomber Command at War represents a notable reprint of hard-to-find information.
