Stars of the Savanna

It is 1694 in colonial Peru, the Spanish reign supreme over the indigenous Inca in a land of mysterious and dangerous rolling mountains. At the peak of Peru's wealth, a drought strikes that threatens the delicate balance of existence on Kiko's savanna. Kiko is a simple Incan boy, tragically born with a crippled leg that prevents him from the customary farm work. Clever but unable to be accepted into his own culture, Kiko is left to face life alone.
