Robert Grossman has incorporated into the Skipper's Handbook, virtually all the information any skipper could possibly use aboard boats to sixty-feet.The quick reference layout covers everything from plotting a dead reckoning course to docking maneuvers, from CPR to advanced first aid. Here is just a sample of the detailed information contained in this book; First Aid, Rules of the Road, Navigation, Boat Handling, and Seamanship. Unlike other books of this nature, this book is meant to be used at the helm for quick reference when the need arises. It will lay flat for easy reading at a powerboat helm or in the cockpit of a heeled sailboat. Every skipper from the novice aboard a small bow-rider to lifelong professional aboard the finest yacht, will find the Skipper's Handbook the most useful book aboard their vessel.

Illustrated AUTHBIO: Robert Grossman has been an avid boater for nearly twenty years. Always interested in boating-oriented pastimes, he is also an active fisherman, scuba diver, and water-skier. A graduate of Humboldt State University in Industrial Arts and Technology, Robert has since looked for ways to simplify and explain complex ideas. Understanding the profusion of rules and techniques of good seamanship presented a tempting challenge. Subsequent studies led Robert to earn his U.S. Coast Guard Masters' license, which he currently holds.

As an active Reserve Deputy Sheriff, Robert takes particular interest in boating safety and boating laws. Robert also serves as a board member of the Washoe County Reserve Deputy Association. Various memberships in boating, diving, and community organizations allow Robert to participate in charitable events, education, and public speaking. Robert lives with his wife Julie, a teacher, avid boater and licensed Third Mate.
